Vaping Part 2: The Update

September 24, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

You’ve probably heard about the growing popularity of vaping. Local kids are trying it and some are now vaping on a regular basis. What does this mean for our teens? What are the risk factors associated with vaping? What exactly are teens vaping? Is it legal for teens to vape? Learn the latest about vaping at BeBOLD’s (Bedford – Building Our Lives Drug-free) monthly Speaker Series Event on Monday, September 24th from 7-8pm at the Bedford Public Library in the McAllaster Room. This event is open to all teens and adults.

Bedford Police School Resource Officers will give you the latest facts about vaping. What does a vape look like? Is it legal to have it on school grounds? Can people vape marijuana? Can people vape other substances? Where do people get vapes?

Dr. Joseph Hou, Pulmonologist with Dartmouth Hitchcock/Catholic Medical Center, will also provide clinical information on vaping. What does the latest research show? Is it addictive? Is it harmful? How does it affect young people? How does it compare to smoking?

The 40-minute presentation will be followed by a 20-minute question and answer session. Get your questions about vaping answered!
